Short Intro:

Life of an 18-year old is never too easy for most, may he be rich or poor. This is the stage of our lives where we start to realize we aren't children anymore and start to feel the weight of responsibilities being laid upon our shoulders. For me, The Heirs is out to tackle most about the fun and sorrows of an adolescent life.

The fun of being in-love and being loved in return. Being responsible for our choices in life. The sorrow and despair of choosing to love in silence. The freedom of letting go.

I love:
How most of the actors gave life and meaning to their characters, how well through their eyes could they convey each and every emotion. Especially Lee Min Ho. Few may argue with me how well he always portrays his roles.

I hate:

My favorite characters:

Lee Min-Ho as

Wealthy but has a meaningful personality. You may find him losing his temper quite often throughout the drama, but he has this soft side for the people that matters to him and goes out to prove it. And if someone does everything in his might to prove his love to you, aren't you moved? He knows what he wants and chase after it to the ends of the world. He might seem irrational for his decision-makings, but can we blame him if he chooses his happiness above all wealth that he is set before him?

Park Shin-Hye as

Poor but not stupid and opportunist. Though I honestly get so confused with how her mind works sometimes, I understand that having to choose between the person you love and protecting your own mother could lead someone to a roller coaster of emotions. Defying her own love isn't an easy decision, but for her mom, she is willing to sacrifice even her own happiness.

Kim Woo Bin as

The last review goes to my most favorite character of the drama. Ah yeah, he's not a lead but often the antagonist in so many ways. He could be so annoying oftentimes especially in the beginning and obviously not as hot as our lead actor. But as the drama progress, I gradually, inevitably embraced his character and how he changed over the time. He exudes this mean, arrogant and bully aura in the outside, but deep down he has this soft side that he hides from all. But here comes ---, telling him things that shook his whole being and made him realize that he isn't as bad after all.

My favorite scene:

Catchy lines:

I am sucker of sorrowful, catchy lines, so here are a few of my notes. It should have more if I made my notes earlier. I'll try to write more in my next reviews and will try to add some snapshots, too. For now, this is all I've got.

Being reliable:
"If you can't do it, give up and fall into my arms."

Letting go:
"You dream the highest place in this world. You go up. I wont stand in the way, I will grant you your wish. You go up."

Words of pain:
"When we meet, let's not greet each other. Let's not even ask "Have you been well?" Even after a lot of time has passed... Let's not smile and act as if we know each other."

In realization:
"I didn't think my life would be like this either. Someone else's house. Someone else's bags. Someone else's husband. I'm being punished for coveting them."

For someone you cannot have:
"Even if we sat together, we were distant strangers."

Watch THE HEIRS

Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2013)

Although it kind of remind me of the popular English movie called "I Am Sam", this movie has a different spice and twist that had made me laugh and even cry. Unconditional love, purity and kindness abounds in this movie, pureness that only a child could possibly possess.

It somehow gives me an added hope that goodness could prevail, despite of people's harshness and cruelness in this world. That even how evil we think a person is, showing him sincere kindness could turn him a new leaf. Hence, even death could not erase the goodness that has been imparted.
